- As of Jan 01, 2017 Canadians do not need visa to Kazakhstan if they plan to stay there not more than 30 days. Same rule applies to the applicants with passports of: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Chile, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Latvia, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, UK, USA.
- Valid passport (Valid at least for 6 months from departure date & min. 3 empty pages)
- Filled out and signed Kazakhstan visa application form
- One recent (not older than 6 months) professionally taken color photo (35x45 mm) with date stamped at the back. (Photo facility is available on-site - TORONTO, OTTAWA, MARKHAM & VANCOUVER). Please note that photos from photo booth or home-shot photos are not acceptable.
- Applicants who apply with Travel Document (light blue or brown color) instead of regular passport must:
- pay additional fee of USD190.00 for single entry visa and USD210.00 for double entry and the processing will be 14 days extra.
- provide the copy of the hotel and flight reservation. - For tourism: confirmation of hotel booking (for tourist visa applicants). Get it HERE - https://www.flightbookingforvisa.comFor Kazakh ethnic visa: copy of applicant's birth certificate showing that applicant or one (or both) of applicant's parents are of Kazakh ethnicity.
- Letter addressed to the Consulate of Kazakhstan explaining in details the purpose of the trip, listing cities to be visited, places of stay during the trip.
- For former citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan: copy of the Certificate confirming loss of Kazakhstan citizenship. If applicant does not have the certificate, it can be obtainable along with visa upon providing the form and application.
- Former citizens of Kazakhstan, their spouses and children as well as former permanent residents (must present original documents proving their previous PR status in Kazakhstan) may apply for a single entry private visa valid for 90 days without official invitation.
- Citizens of Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Hungary, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Israel, Japan, Qatar, South Korea, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Lithuania, Malaysia, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Poland, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Sultanate of Oman, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates and USA do not require to provide us invitation when applying for a single entry business, private, tourist visas up to 30 days & double entry tourist visa up to 60 days. The rest will be charged additional fee of USD80 for invitation service.
- Persons WITH DUAL citizenship, ONE of which IS Canadian, must apply WITH their Canadian passports only. Applicants WITH other THAN Canadian passports must provide the copy of the document confirming their current resident STATUS IN Canada (PR Card, Landed Document, WORK Permit)

Kazakhstan Business Visa Requirements (additionally to the requirements above)
- Letter from employer on the letter-head, describing the purpose of business trip to Kazakhstan.
- Add 10 business days to the indicated processing time when applying for multiple-entry business visa if you do not have your own visa support from Kazakhstan.

instead of regular passport must pay additional fee of CAD165.00.
